TOP TOOLBAR

1. The top left "+" button gives you the option to import an image from your Photo Album or to take a photo, if your device has a camera.

2. The top right "Folder" button will allow you either to save your finished image to your Photo Album or to Email it.

BOTTOM TOOLBAR

1. The first tool on the bottom bar is the "Line" Tool. Press it and you will enter the Line Tool mode. The Line Tool will be highlighted in blue. The Line Tool mode has five buttons to choose from: Line, Move, Undo/Redo, Color Picker, and Brush Settings.

a) Use the Line to create a laser beam on the screen. Be aware that until you draw another line or press "Done," you can move the line, change the core and glow colors, and alter the diameters of the brushes.

b) If you use Move, you will convert the laser beam to outline shapes with moveable endpoints. When you have repositioned your line to your satisfaction, press the line tool again to see it rendered. After you are finished drawing lines, press "Done" and you will be taken back to the main toolbar.

c) Use the Undo/Redo button to erase your last action. Press it again to retrieve it.

d) Use the Color Picker to set your core and glow colors.

e) Use Brush Settings to change the diameter of the core, glow, and the eraser.

c) Use the Color Picker to set your glow color.

d) Use Brush Settings to change the diameter of the glow.

3. The third button on the main toolbar is the "Eraser" Tool. Press it to enter the Eraser Tool mode. The Eraser Tool will be highlighted in blue. The Eraser Tool mode has three buttons: Erase, Undo/Redo, and Brush Settings.

a) With your finger, use Erase to remove unwanted artwork.

b) Use the Undo/Redo button to erase your last action. Press it again to retrieve it.

c) Use Brush Settings to change the diameter of the eraser and to set the eraser to either a soft or hard brush.

4. The last button on the main toolbar is the "Trash" Tool. When you press it, options will be presented to you.

a) Erase Artwork erases all your drawings.

b) Erase Everything erases your drawings and your imported image.

c) Show/Hide Tools is used to show or hide all the tools and the status bar. This function is useful if you need to draw in an area that is obscured by the tools or status bar.

At anytime, if you shake your device the "Trash" Tool options will be presented to you as well.

Pros and cons of Laser Doodle app for iPhone and iPad

Laser Doodle app good for

This app is a bit on the technical side, but after about ten minutes of playing with it, I was turning out some really cool pictures with it. The interface takes a bit of getting used to, but after that it is a breeze to use. Much easer than trying to do the same effects in Gimp or Photo Shop. If you are wanting lasers or light swords in your pics, this is the app to get.
This app is my most favorite thing!! It works GREAT! Never crashes! And if you want to make a lightsaber its amazing at that! Totally worth the money and definitely works! Sooooo much fun too! 
1. Have a camera option on the app! 2. This would be amazing if you could do this for videos Do this, and it would be amazing :)
I finally found a good app that allows me to make light sabers and laser FX! Ive tried so many. This is absolutely the best! Its easy and straightforward. For those who wish to animate the effects you should get the "Giffer" app. It will allow you to do stop motion animation. Laser Doodle is absolutely the best for the light saber effect! Get it!!
Please please please add a zoom feature and somehow add video editing!
I use this app to edit photos for stop motion videos and it makes a laser that can compete with movies. Plus, its easy to edit the size, width and color of the laser. I like to edit photos on my phone then email them to myself, open them on my computer and input them into video software from there. Its also great for making toy lightsabers look like they have real blades. I love this app!

Some bad moments

Great App. Could you add a reset button to each of the settings so you could tap to reset the choices to default? This way, you have the option of resetting if you get it to far out of bounds.. Also, could we get a storage bucket to store projects in for later edit and use?
So many people want an app that lets them edit a video well thAnks for making me pay for nothing!
